FrOGS?

 FrOGS are the 'Friends of Greentrees School', which is the PTA for Greentrees School. Our aim is to fundraise for additional items for the school, and to organise social events, which help the school become a community.

Our fundraising efforts over the past 9 years have helped the school purchase equipment such as the playtrail, sandpits and pergola. We have also paid for the coaches for whole school trips and professional performances for all children to watch, so that all children benefit equally from the fundraising we do.

How do we raise this money?

Our committee meets between once and twice a term and we decide which fundraising event we will organise. We have the traditional Christmas and Summer fayres which are always very popular and raise lots of money. We also hold some adult only events such as Race Nights and Quiz Nights. We have held sponsored events such as a run, walk and obstacle course. We are always looking for new ideas and would welcome any suggestions. How can you help?

 

We can’t raise money for the school without the support of families, friends and children of Greentrees School. You can help us by attending events, helping at events and if you feel you have a little more time to spare you could join our committee. "I enjoy taking part as a member of FrOGS because I feel that the PTA plays a vital role in adding value to the School and providing items to the School, which would otherwise be unavailable. Things like the Play Trail and the sandpits are of great advantage to the children, but without the help of the PTA, the School would not ordinarily have been able to fund such equipment. By taking part in the PTA you really feel that you are giving something back and of course, you are helping to enhance the School experience for your own children, in their enjoyment and learning."

You could also join our Greentrees Lottery. The form is attached to this webpage, and all you have to do is join for either 1 year or just 6 months. It costs just £1.00 per month and you could win 50% of the takings for that month. That means the more people who join the more money there is in the pot!
