Welcome to the Koalas’ Class Homepage.
We are a year 2 class. Our teacher is Miss Catling and our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Jackson.
This week’s news:
In English we are learning about traditional tales. We have learnt the story of the Little Red Hen from memory and we have now planned our own stories following this format. This week we will begin writing. In Maths this week we are beginning our unit of learning on multiplication. We will be looking at equal groups of objects and writing the repeated addition for this in preparation for using the x symbol next week. We would appreciate that you do not teach your child multiplication at home as we may now teach this differently to how you may have been taught. Thank you for your co-operation. This term our History topic is ‘The Great Fire of London’.
Learner of the Week:
Tiyane – For great independent learning and using his phonics well.
This Term’s Certificates:
Bronze: Tiyane & Matthew
Silver: Scarlett & Ben
Gold: Kyla, Sophie & Anya
